This unit has one plastic box coupler. It is virtually no rust (see attached photos) except for some light rust on the axels and tarnish on the wheels. No cracks; fake wheels still there as is the smoke stack!! Very hard to find them in this condition. Check the attached photos for additional info. I believe this to be what MARX called TUSCAN BROWN but it looks RED to me!! The actual item is slightly darker then the attached photos - must have been over exposed!
